Music

I honestly can't imagine living life without music. I've been making music for longer than I've lived without it now. (I'm twenty now, so it's been 13 years of music-making since my ridiculously awesome parents encouraged me to pick up the piano at seven!) And I am one of those loony muso backpackers who brings along their traveler guitar or ukelele with them! It keeps me company when I'm on my own, and at the same time it's also the marvelous bridge that connects me with some amazing people along the way.

I love making music. It's freedom. It's glorious. It's a space that has no boundaries. It's a space where I encounter the reality and wonder of God and connect with other like-hearted individuals. It is an effervescent beauty that emerges in my imaginary soundscape, when I'm songwriting on the piano (More of You) , with my guitar and ukelele, or improvising late into the night. When I'm jamming with my African band, making music with fellow backpackers on my travels or playing with my piano trio. I love listening to new genres and picking up different styles of music. It's so much fun and I love it

One of the best things in life - truly - is sharing music with others and making heartfelt music with people who share the same passion!

I believe in the power of music to connect people with others and with God.

The desire within my heart is to use music to cross barriers of language and culture, to empower, challenge, inspire, encourage and speak to people. I'm passionate about finding my own musical niche as well as helping my music students and fellow artist friends to discover their own through our collaborations. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Music Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium and I'm looking ahead to do a Masters in Music Therapy next year. It's always so exciting to get to venture into new musical opportunities in my path as well as connect with some amazing souls along the way!

Feel free to drop me a message if you are interested in music lessons or if you've got a creative idea to share and you're keen for a collaboration! :) It might also be worth putting out there that I have a keen passion and interest for teaching children and youth with special needs and autism. So definitely please get in touch if you are looking or you know someone who's looking for a teacher who is willing to work with individuals who have special needs. I'll be up for it cause' that's what I've been doing and it really is what music is all about. :)
